A heritage of excellent craftsmanship in hardwood furniture runs deep at Custom Woodworking Furniture.
Levi Stoltzfus, the founder of Custom Woodworking began working with wood at the age of 14. His first experience with woodworking was forming wooden carriage shafts in his father’s Amihs woodworking shop. In 1981 he began working in a local kitchen cabinet shop where he could further develop his interest in fine woodworking. Today Custom Woodworking is a family business operating out of a 20,000 square foot facility with both a kitchen cabinet and fine furniture division. The fine furniture was added in 2000 with the goal of crafting everything in-house. The furniture became so successful, however, that Levi decided to have his workers concentrate only on producing kitchens and instead develop relationships with other manufacturers of high quality furniture. Levi is personally responsible for some of the design styles of Custom Woodworking’s bedroom suites and many other furniture items.
Today the 6,000 square foot show room in Honey Brook offers a huge selection of the finest furniture available in Lancaster County. In 2006 Levi also opened his New Jersey location where a 7,500 square foot show room allows you to browse Lancaster County’s finest furniture. We have always been dedicated to continuing the tradition of high quality craftsmanship in fine furniture for which Lancaster County has become known. Every piece is given detailed hand attention to produce a furniture item that will beautify your home and become a family heirloom. In addition to our four standard wood choices, oak, walnut, cherry, and hickory, we can also custom make most any specialty wood species you may be looking for. We work with only the finest woods and you will not find any particle board in our showrooms. You can select from a variety of finishes to get just the look you want. All our drawers are assembled using the durable dove-tail technique. Our mirrors are always beveled for that finished look. We stand behind our work and should you encounter any problems we want to know about it.
